Blog Hop: The Hadta Haves

A selection of the HadtaHaves.
Welcome, book bloggers and loyal readers!  And thanks to The Broke and the Bookish's blog hop, here's a list of those books I snapped up with gusto, and then abandoned to molder on the shelf... Here's hoping I pick 'em up one day soon.
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell & The Story of Edgar Sawtelle.  Long is long and if it isn't gripping, I'll abandon it to the shelf much more readily than a shorter read. Paradox?  Shameful lack of fortitude?  I think not.  Instead, 'more of the same' vs. 'WAY more of the same' is the psychology here, I believe.

Bring Me the Rhinoceros & If the Buddha Got Stuck.  Apparently, reading about Zen isn't as compelling as living it.  (imperfectly, of course)

Five Good Minutes in the Evening & The Four Day Win & also The Four-Hour Work Week.  Numbers simultaneously compel and deter me?

Take Time for Your Life & Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life.  Life simultaneously compels and deters me?

The Power of Full Engagement.  Clearly, I ain't got it.  I can't even muster it long enough to read the durn book.

To be honest, though, I'd like to get to two of these pronto, and in this particular order: The Four Hour Work Week and then Jonathan Strange & Mr. NorrellWith all the time I'll free up after reading and acting on the first one, I'll finally be able to sit back in a cozy chair and take on the second!

MFB,
L

p.s.  Which one would you choose?  What was your numero uno must-get-to-soon from your top ten?  Anybody for a book swap? ;-)

AND: Thanks once again to The Broke & The Bookish for this particularly fun blog hop.  To weigh in and to snoop around in many other bibliophiles' TBR piles, go check them out.
