A nationwide contest in which Canadian celebs defend their favorite books of the year. Whoda thunk it? AND they have gorgeous young writer-TV host-musician Jian Ghomeshi as the emcee, not some graying Charlie Rose type (and I loves me some Charlie Rose, but you all know exactly what I mean).
The rest of us non-Canadian souls: Let's take their challenge to build a national culture (where e'er ye be) in which authors are the next wave of hot, shall we?
